Versatile, humble and magnanimous – the words that are an integral part of our vocabulary when we speak about the legendary vocalist Padma Shri Mohammed Rafi. A gentle human being with great love for music, he never let money come in the way of his singing.
After six sold out seasons of Rafi Revived, Bangalore based Antardhwani presented the 7th season of Rafi Revived as a tribute to the golden voice of the silver screen. It was an immense honour for Music 360 to be present at the RAFI REVIVED 7 – A Gateway to Revisit the Music of the Legend on 28th July 2018, Saturday at a fully packed Chowdiah Memorial Hall on the eve of his 38th Death Anniversary.
Sony TV’s Indian Idol Senior Finalist #BijuNair accompanied by #MohammedYaseenKhan, Samanvitha Sharma and ShrutiBhide / Singer paid a heartfelt tribute to the legend. The music arranged by #PradeepPatkar& team was mind blowing. Designed & Directed by #RunaSikdar, the host #AjayBakshi awed the audience with much untold stories behind Mohammed Rafi’s songs.
The audience were treated to the romantic “Jane Chaman Shola Badan”, “Ye MeraPrem Patra Padhkar”, “RimjhimKeGeetSaawanGaaye” and Pathos like “Kya Huva Tera Waada”, “NeenelliNadeveDoora”.
Peppy numbers like “KisKiskoPyarKaroon”, “AajaAaja Main HuinPyar Tera” enthused the crowd to tap along to the tunes. The famed lullaby “Mein Gaoon Tum So Jao” & surprise Kannada song, “Nee BanduNinthaga”, also received huge applauds.
